Why Madman Clay?

People who don't really know me wonder why I have chosen Madman Clay as a name. After all I am a woman, why not madwoman or crazylady, (there is a Crazy Lady Creek off of I90). I have heard from these acquaintances comments under their breadth that I must be edgy. Not sure what that means, hopefully nothing like whimsical.

When I first came up with the name people who did know me just rolled their eyes, but in good humor. They knew it was a justified name. Madman was my dog. In short, Madman was one of those movie star dogs like Benji, Lassie, and Rin Tin Tin. The difference was I never trained Madman. When I tried, he would just give me a look similar to one you may give me if I tried to train you to speak on command.
