This piece was exhibited at the Burchfeild-Penney Art Center in 2007, where the juror, Lloyd E. Herman, made comment to the changes in ceramics through use of medium and concept. Although I do not agree that this is a recent change in the medium, I am glad to see it is still acknowledged. If we are not going forward very quickly, at least we are not tumbling backward.
